 | Martin's career in travel journalism spans over 25 years and has taken him all over the world.
In addition to presenting ITV's top travel programme 'Wish You Were Here...?' for 8 years, and being the Travel Editor of Woman Magazine for over 15 years, he is currently a Freelance contributor to numerous publications and newspapers including The News of the World, the Daily Mail, The Sun and Daily and Sunday Mirror.
He also reported on BBC Radio 4's popular Saturday morning travel show 'Breakaway' for six years
He was the chairman of the British Guild of Travel Writers, and is a current board member of the Institute of Travel & Tourism (ITT) |

Martin spent 8 years as one of the main presenters on ITV's top travel show, 'Wish You Were Here...?'. During his travels, he reported from such diverse locations as the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (reporting as part of a charity climb) to South West America, India to Devon.

British Guild of Travel Writers

Founded in 1960, the British Guild of Travel Writers is an association of over 270 writers, editors, photographers, producers, radio and television presenters involved in the world of travel.
Most are freelance but the BGTW includes travel editors of national and regional newspapers, magazines, radio and TV programmes. They cover specialities from transport to camping, horse-riding to archaeology, cycling, walking, cruising, food, business travel, antiques, music, skiing or 'just holidays'.
Martin held the post of Chairman from 2000 to 2002.

Martin spent 15 years as Travel Editor of Woman Magazine. Woman is a weekly 'me-time' treat for busy 30- and 40-something women who know there's more to life than school runs and packed lunches and who love living it to the full. Martin's work featured holidays and travel ideas in both the UK and overseas with a bias towards family life. His Travel Clinics were also packed wth inspiring suggestions for days out, school holiday activities and family breaks.
